Tomorrow’s Warriors was founded in 1991 by Gary Crosby OBE at the Jazz Cafe and established as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in 1998 by partner and Managing Director, Janine Irons MBE. It is a National Portfolio Client of Arts Council England. 

The catalyst for the creation of Tomorrow’s Warriors was to diversify the jazz industry and since its formation the organisation has maintained a track record of success in developing award-winning young jazz artists of excellence, providing firm foundations on which they may build and sustain successful careers in the music industry.

Influential musicians that have been involved/part of Tomorrow’s Warriors include Denys Baptiste, Byron Wallen, Alex Wilson, Robert Fourjour, Neil Yates, J-Life (Jason Yarde, Robert Mitchell, Daniel Crosby, Darren Taylor), Julie Dexter, Anthony Tidd, Oroh Angiama, Soweto Kintch, Abram Wilson, Andrew McCormack, Tom Skinner, Tom Herbert, Eska Mtungwzi, David Okumu, Sean Corby, Gwilym Watkins, Harry Brown, Empirical (Nathaniel Facey, Jay Phelps, Shane Forbes, Neil Charles), Rhythmica (Zem Audu, Peter Edwards, Andrew Chapman, Mark Crown, Pete Randall), Binker Golding, Shabaka Hutchins, Karl Rasheed-Abel, Ben Burrell, Miles James and Duncan Eagles.
